Don Knotts 1975

Don Knotts (July 21, 1924 - February 24, 2006) was an American actor, best known for the roles of Barney Fife from The Andy Griffith Show and Ralph Furley from Three's Company.

Having started his professional career with the soap opera Search for Tomorrow, Knotts became famous as a member of Steve Allen's "Men in the Street" (along with Pat Harrington, Jr.). He appeared in both the Broadway and film versions of No Time for Sergeants.

Knotts starred in films such as The Incredible Mr. Limpet, The Ghost and Mr. Chicken, The Reluctant Astronaut, The Shakiest Gun in the West, The Love God?, How to Frame a Figg, and The Apple Dumpling Gang series. He made cameo appearances in It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World and Pleasantville.

In addition to Mr. Limpet, Knotts contributed voiceover in features such as The New Scooby-Doo Movies, The Little Troll Prince, Cats Don't Dance, and Chicken Little.
