Biography[]
Garfield Gets Real[]
Eli's first appearance in the Garfield universe is in Garfield Gets Real, where he is the head technician of the Comic Studio. He is chill and laid back, setting up the comics and sending them out to newspapers around the world. He is shown to have a good friendship with Garfield, but can get tired of how he feels about his role in the Comic Studio.
During the first screening of the comics, Odie's bone is sucked through the Cartoon World to the Real World, causing Eli to explain how the screen in the Comic Studio is the barrier between worlds, and that by breaching the barrier, things from the Comic World can end up sucked into the Real World. Garfield, with this newfound knowledge, enters the Real World knowingly, with Odie following behind for his bone.
After this, Eli would monitor Garfield's activity for everyone to see. However, he would later find Garfield, Odie, and their new friend, Shecky, tied up inside of the old motel. He called for everyone's help in saving them, leading to Wally using the Bonitanator to rescue Garfield, allowing him to return to the Comic World. After Garfield's return, Eli celebrates along with the rest of the Comic Studio (with some sick dance moves).
Garfield's Fun Fest[]
During the events of Fun Fest, Eli would help Garfield out, as he was feeling down, and would later let him into his office during Fun Fest once Garfield obtained the Funny Water. However, distraught that the vial for it had broke, Garfield would leave his office, sad. Later on, Eli assists Garfield in his fight against Ramone by controlling the stage operations, allowing Garfield to access the light area of the stage. He is last seen cheering for Garfield in his office along with Freddy the Frog after Garfield and Arlene finish their dance routine.
Garfield's Pet Force[]
During the events of Pet Force, Eli would later find the Comic Studio under attack by Vetvix. He managed to avoid getting zombified by pressing the "get in" button which hid him and his office from Vetvix. He would later monitor the outside area, and discovered Garfield and Jon, targeted by the MoScram. Eli was able to save Garfield by sucking him in through the ventilation system, however Jon became a zombie. While searching for survivors, he berates Garfield for staying behind instead of coming to the studio with Garzooka and for missing out on most things in life. After meeting up with the survivors (Wally, Bonita, and Betty) of Vetvix's attack, Eli would assist Garfield and the newly formed "Crazy Crew" by opening the pit of the Comic Studio, luring all of the zombies there. After all the zombies were lured in, he and the rest of the Crazy Crew met up with Professor Wally and Emperor Jon before being ordered by Garfield to get everyone to safety upon seeing Vetvix’s super-scrambled zombie.
Once Garfield defeats the super-scrambled zombie and unscrambles the Pet Force, he congratulates Garfield on saving the day and watches Garfield and the rest of the Crazy Crew stop Vetvix for good.
After scrambling Vetvix with Betty's Smile Section, Eli would watch Garfield unscramble the rest of Vetvix's zombies, returning them back to their normal selves. He is last seen watching Emperor Jon and Vetvix’s wedding on the screen.
