Ali Cat (voiced by Gregg Berger) is the leader of the Claws, a tough gang of alley cats. He is shown to be territorial when Garfield looks around a garbage can that he claims as his own. He aggravates Garfield by calling him "Puffball" and "Lardball". Garfield initially scares him away, only to find out that the other cat is not alone. He and other alley cats later confront Garfield's family, demanding that they give up "Lardball" or else fight.
Multiple cats of varying colors who resemble Ali Cat appear in A Week of Garfield. Although Ali himself appears on the game's box, none of the cats who appear in the game have his signature purple fur. Furthermore, the game's manual states that the enemy cats are members of the "Ironclaw Crew", which is led by a one-eyed cat named "Big Boss".
