After Garfield returns from his burrito break (and mistakenly reading a cook book), he resumes his fairy tale.
Prince Jon is still looking for a wife, but to no avail. That is, until he finds Elizabeth (Liz), a resident of the Blue Forest, but even then, Elizabeth does not wish to marry him, thinking that he lacks heart due to his royal lifestyle. When Jon wonders what to do, Garfield tells him to go into the Blue Forest to prove himself to Elizabeth.
Just then, the story is interrupted by Vito, who has arrived with a bunch of pizzas Garfield ordered. After he acquires them, he continues the story.
Jon heads out on his horse to the Blue Forest, determined to convince Elizabeth to marry him. Garfield figures that the marriage will solve all his problems (except for the twin nieces, of course). Meanwhile, the viceroy plots to stop Jon from reaching Elizabeth by blocking his path with a dragon.
Garfield takes another break to annoy the mailman (and go over the mail delivered to the Arbuckle household).
During his journey, Prince Jon finds out about the dragon. He doesn’t let that thought stop him until he encounters said dragon and gets attacked, forcing him to retreat. Garfield, figuring that Jon will need their help, uses a catapult to launch himself and Odie right around the dragon’s area. Sure enough, they find the dragon, which approaches the duo maliciously.
Garfield then leaves the story at another cliffhanger for a tuna-salad sandwich on rye.
