Phil Roman is an American animator, director, producer, and founder of Film Roman. Having worked for Chuck Jones and Bill Meléndez (the latter of whom produced the first two TV specials on CBS), he split from Melendez to form Film Roman, which would produce all CBS specials from 1984 to 1991 as well as Garfield and Friends.
