Initially, he was seen as a nice and wise person. It was revealed to be a ruse to disguise his desire for Prof. O'Tabby's job, showing him to be desperate and bitter. He did feel remorse for killing O'Tabby, as he was found asking for forgiveness at the University Church when Sam Spayed arrived to arrest him. He admitted that he had nothing to lose for what he did.
